Chennai airport authorities started operations at Terminal 4, aiming to provide substantial relief to domestic flyers. The trial run of Chennai airport’s Terminal 4 commenced with the inauguration of domestic flight services on Tuesday by the Airports Authority of India.
Air India first flight
The pilot launch saw an Air India flight, carrying 148 passengers from Port Blair, arriving at the terminal. The aircraft departed for Bengaluru with 152 passengers on board.
To mark the initiation of services from the new terminal, C V Deepak, the airport director, presented the boarding pass to the first passenger of the Air India flight.
