Oleg Budargin, the chief executive of state-controlled Russian power grid operator Rosseti, will step down next month, business daily Vedomosti reported on Monday.
Budargin could be replaced by the CEO of Federal Grid Company (FSK), Andrei Murov, or Deputy Energy Minister Vyacheslav Kravchenko, Vedomosti quoted sources as saying.
Rosseti declined to comment.
The report comes amid increased talk of a shake-up of Russian state corporations as the country contends with its weakening economy.
Last week sources said that Evgeny Dod, the CEO of Russia’s largest hydropower producer RusHydro, would leave his post, days after the head of Russia’s state railways and a long-standing confidant of President Vladimir Putin quit his role, fuelling rumours of possible dismissals at more state companies.
