The Central Railway is planning to work on traffic and power blocks for the Pre Non-Interlocking and Non-Interlocking system in Solapur division. The plan is being carried out for the commissioning of doubling of tracks in this division.
Non-interlocking basically means disconnecting points, signals, track circuits, and other signaling systems on a temporary basis. This is done on works related to overhauling lever frames, yard remodeling, and introduction of panel/RRI working, among others.
While the work on the Pre Non-Interlocking block has already started on October 29, it will continue till November 2. Similarly, the work on Non -Interlocking blocks will start on November 2 (6 PM), and will be continued till the next day (6 PM). The work is expected to impact train services.
