Central Railway (CR) is set to introduce 10 additional air-conditioned (AC) local services, replacing the non-AC services on slow corridors starting from November 6. This move will bring the total number of AC local services to 66 per day. However, the total number of suburban services on CR’s Mumbai Division will remain at 1810.
These 10 new services will include one during the morning peak hours and one during the evening peak hours, a Railways spokesperson told the Times of India. They will operate from Monday to Saturday and will not run on Sundays and designated holidays.
