NEW DELHI: The government on Wednesday approved Rs 6700 crore scheme for power system improvement in the North East Region. The move aims at economic development of North Eastern Region through the strengthening of intra- state transmission and distribution systems.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the revised cost estimate of the scheme, an official statement said on Wednesday.
