NEW DELHI: Digging deeper into the allegations of financial irregularities in the privatisation of the Delhi airport, CBI has written to the civil aviation ministry seeking documents and files from “beginning till date”.
The agency, in a letter sent on May 3, sought the 2012 report of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) on the privatisation apart from a certified copy of the complete file of the operations, management and development agreement between Airports Authority of India (AAI) and GMR Group.
CBI has also asked for files on the selection of a senior government official, Prashant Sukul, as joint secretary in the ministry and sought documents on his subsequent posting as India’s representative to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
