NEW DELHI: The CBI on Tuesday arrested five persons, including an executive director of the Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL), in an alleged Rs 50 lakh bribery case.
The agency had filed an FIR against five people – executive director K B Singh, a Vadodara-based businessman, and some middlemen.
“It was alleged that the accused, in conspiracy with others, was giving undue favour in connection with the SAPL (Srikakulam Angul Pipeline) and VAPL (Vijaipur Auraiya Pipeline) projects of GAIL,” a senior official said.
