New Delhi, Jan 29 () The government is exploring new technology for transmitting internet data using power cables that are used for electricity transmission, a senior official said Tuesday.

BOSTON: MIT scientists have developed the first fully flexible device that can convert energy from Wi-Fi signals into electricity, paving the way for wirelessly powering everyday electronics without batteries. Devices that convert AC electromagnetic waves into DC electricity are known as “rectennas.”

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in some areas in Chennai from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday (January 29) for maintenance work. Power supply will be resumed before 4pm if work is completed, according to a release from Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation.
