BENGALURU: Hundreds of passengers who had pre-booked journeys on Jet Airways for February and March have been left in the lurch with the airlines cancelling over 30 daily services to/from Bengaluru, in view of several of its planes being grounded due to non-payment to lessors.
It’s said that over 34 daily services of Jet Airways to and from Bengaluru, between March 1 and March 30, 2019, have been cancelled by the carrier due to operational reasons. These include daily flights on the Bengaluru-Delhi, Bengaluru-Pune, Vadodara-Bengaluru and Chennai-Bengaluru routes.
While officials refused to confirm the total number of planes that have been grounded, according to sources, it’s more than 30. The fleet comprises a total of 123 aircraft.
