A Calcutta-based electric two-wheeler start-up, Motovolt Mobility, founded in November 2020, launched its fourth product on Wednesday: electric bike Urbn with a 250- watt motor and a 72KwH battery. Used for commuting, it has swappable batteries with a range of 120 km that takes 3-4 hours to charge fully with a fast charger.
The Urbn is made at Motovolt’s Taratala factory and is priced at Rs 49,999. “Urbn has features of a cycle with the comfort of a scooter. It is a commuter bike but can also be used for B2C operations. We have tied up with banks who will provide loans at low EMIs like Rs 1,500 per month,” said Tushar Choudhary, founder and CEO of Motovolt Mobility.
