The State Cabinet on Thursday approved the construction of a four-lane elevated flyover in Ranchi. The elevated flyover to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 337.50 crore aims to cover the stretch of Siramtoli Chowk, Rajendra Chowk, and MECON Ltd. The 2.34 km elevated flyover once constructed will ease out traffic congestion in the area as the stretch witnesses heavy traffic jams during peak hours.
Briefing media persons about the Cabinet decision, Cabinet Coordination department Secretary Vandana Dadel said that in today’s Cabinet meeting 63 proposals were approved. Dadel said the Cabinet also sanctioned Rs 1.28 crore as commission to PDS dealers under Sona Sobran Sari Dhoti Vitran Yojana. Under this scheme, the BPL family gets a sari and dhoti twice a year.
