The business coach in the rapid rail services Rapidx, which is said to have facilities similar to those in an airplane, will also have a “hostess” for the convenience of commuters, said officials.
Rapidx, being implemented by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), is India’s first regional rail service being constructed in the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut route. It has many special features, including a premium class coach. The train will cover a distance of 82 km in 55 minutes.
The deputed train attendant will play an important role in acquainting the commuters with the facilities available in the train and ensuring their safe and secure commute.
