Senior railway service officer Vivek Kumar Gupta took charge as the new head of India’s Bullet train project on Monday. A statement from National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) said Gupta served as the Principal Executive Director (Gati-Shakti) at the Railway Board.
In his earlier role, Gupta was responsible for the integrated functioning of Civil (Works, Project Monitoring & Station Development), Electrical (RE), Signal & Telecommunication, Traffic, Finance, Planning, and Economic Directorates.
