HYDERABAD: Global investment firm Brookfield and Hyderabad-based electric utility player Axis Energy Ventures on Thursday said they have set up their second joint venture to establish a renewable energy development platform.
While Axis Energy Ventures will contribute its existing pipeline of wind and solar power projects that are spread across the country and are in various stages of development, Brookfield, through its Brookfield Global Transition Fund II, will provide equity capital of up to $845 million for the development of these power projects.
Under the strategic partnership, both partners will leverage their expertise and resources to jointly provide curated energy solutions to various industry participants, including government entities, corporate customers, and emerging industries such as green hydrogen.
