In the absence of timely repair and maintenance, the condition of a crucial bridge over the Gambhar river on the Subathu-Kunihar road has become deplorable.
Besides daily commuters who use the bridge to reach Arki from various parts of the Kasauli Assembly segment, it is also used by heavy trucks transporting cement from manufacturing plants in Darlaghat and Baga. The iron railing of the bridge has worn out at several points and the rickety structure is an invitation to accidents, given the high load it withstands everyday.
