The Bombay High Court on Wednesday asked the Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP) to file an additional affidavit disclosing within two weeks the number of pilots engaged in the ‘Vande Bharat’ mission, their compensation structures as well as how many such operations had been conducted.
FIP – an industry body representing pilots of commercial airlines – had filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) last month urging the court to direct the government to frame a comprehensive insurance policy for pilots as well as air transportation workers.
