MUMBAI: The BMC has invited tenders for the second time for the construction of a bridge on the Mahim Creek from Fishermen Colony on Senapati Bapat Marg to the Western Express Highway to ease traffic congestion.
The bridge will also have an arm leading to the clover leaf junction to enable access to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
Tenders for the bridge were first invited in September. The estimated Rs 220 crore bridge and elevated road, which will be built over Mahim creek, will be constructed over a period of two years and is also expected to provide connectivity from Dadar (West) and Mahim to the coastal road.
