New Delhi: Seeking relief for traders and the common man reeling under financial challenges brought by Covid-19 and lockdown, leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Friday asked the Delhi government to waive off the electricity bills, including fixed charges for three months – April to June.
“Due to curfew, lockdown and other restrictions in Delhi, the trader community lost almost three months. The Delhi government should adopt a sympathetic view towards the consumers and waive off electricity bills for three months. Curfew was imposed in Delhi on April 6 and then a lockdown was announced on April 19,” Bidhuri said in a statement.
