MUMBAI: The contractor for reconstruction of Gokhale bridge in Andheri over the railway portion was finalised on Wednesday evening. A B Infrabuild Ltd, which will also be reconstructing Carnac bridge and is currently building the road over bridge (ROB) at Vidyavihar, has won the bid.
Civic officials said of the five bidders, A B Infrabuild and Sai Projects fulfilled the terms and conditions of the proposed contract. A B Infrabuild was selected as it bid lower than Sai Projects, said officials.
A BMC official said they want to issue work orders in the next few days so that work on the pre-fabricated structure and construction can start immediately.
