State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has invited quotations for the supply of balance of system (BoS) items for the installation and commissioning of two grid-connected solar PV projects with a combined capacity of 69 MW.
The two projects are a 39 MW (AC) solar project at Yellandu and a 30 MW (AC) solar project at Manuguru. Both the projects are located in Bhadadri Kothagudem district of Telangana.
The bid closing date is July 31, 2019.
The RfQ states that the prospective bidder should have executed contracts of indoor or outdoor electrical installations of a minimum size of 33 kV in projects or sub-stations.
The bidders should have achieved a minimum annual average financial turnover of ₹50 million ($ 0.73 million) in three financial years (2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18) and should submit the audited balance sheets for all the three years.
To be eligible for this tender, an interested bidder’s work must include supply, erection, and commissioning of BoS items for a cumulative value of at least ₹50 million ($ 0.73 million). Moreover, the individual contract values must not be less than ₹10 million ($ 0.146) in the last three financial years.
In the recent past, BHEL also issued a tender for the supply of BoS items needed for the installation of a 5 MW floating solar project in the state of West Bengal.
In Telangana, BHEL had also floated a tender for the supply, instrumentation, and construction of a module cleaning system for 129 MW of solar photovoltaic projects located at Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Earlier, it also issued a tender for the supply of balance of system items for its solar PV projects at Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), located in Telangana.
BHEL recently bagged an order for setting up a 25 MW floating solar photovoltaic power project located in Simhadri, Andhra Pradesh.
