Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has reported a 36 pc year-on-year decline in its net profit at Rs 119 cr for the quarter ended September 2019 due to lower net revenue from the operations and high expenses.

The company had reported a profit of Rs 185 cr in the corresponding quarter of previous financial year.

BHEL said its revenue declined by 8 pc to Rs 6,226 cr for Q2 FY20 against Rs 6,780 cr in Q2 FY19. Ebitda was Rs 267 cr while Ebitda margin improved at 4.3 pc against 3.5 pc year-on-year.
