BENGALURU: South Western Railway on Monday decided to conduct an audit of Rail Under Bridge (RUBs) and subways from September 21 to October 5.
“A special safety drive is being launched by SWR to check and take corrective measures to prevent stagnation of water under RUBs and limited height subways (LHSs) across the entire zone for a period of 15 days,” said a release from SWR on Monday.
“During this drive, the provision of proper drainage arrangements, channels/aqueducts for smooth flow of rain water to prevent stagnation of water under RUB/LHS) will be inspected,” it added.
TOI on Monday carried a report titled ‘Heelalige residents want railway under bridge to be re-designed’.
