BENGALURU: The rollout of the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) was meant to offer commuters ease of payment for their journeys on Namma Metro and also on other mass transit systems across the country that are linked to the NCMC network. However, since these cards went on sale in the city from March 30, there have been complaints of long queues and delays at Metro station ticketing counters from where these are being issued.
NCMC can also be obtained from city branches of RBL, the issuing bank for the cards. According to some commuters, it is often taking as long as 15 minutes for one passenger to complete his or her transaction to obtain the mobility card.
