BENGALURU: If everything goes according to plan, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will provide a walk-way below the elevated Metro line between Central Silk Board and Hebbal on Outer Ring Road (ORR).
BMRCL managing director Anjum Parwez said: “We will provide provisions for an elevated walk-way below the Metro viaduct between Central Silk Board and Hebbal. Interested corporate firms on ORR could construct walkways in future so will give direct access to their office/campus from the stations. This is mainly to integrate the commercial and office spaces with the Metro stations“ he said.
At a recent meeting with Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA), he proposed a walkway below the Metro viaduct from Ibbalur to Kodibeesanahalli stations and ISRO to Saraswathi Nagar stations on PPP model. This section has eight stations: Ibbalur, Bellandur, Kadubeesanahalli, Kodibeesanahalli, ISRO, Doddanekkundi, DRDO sports complex and Saraswathi Nagar.
