Bengal police seized 32 trucks of smuggled coal in Asansol area being transported from different parts of Dhanbad including Mugma, Nirsa, Govindpur and others..
Cops also nabbed the drivers and cleaners of trucks and finding out the details of operators of coal smuggling racket operating from Dhanbad.
Talking to the media, Abhishek Modi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Asansol Durgapur) said, “We are strict against illegal mining and illegal coal transportation and have seized altogether 32 coal laden trucks during the last two day.”
He further said that illegally mined coal is being transported from various parts of the Dhanbad including Mugma, Nirsa, Govindpur to different parts of Asansol Durgapur.
