The IndiGo airline will operate direct flights from Bhubaneswar to Singapore and Bangkok from Saturday (June 3).
To make the fare affordable, there is an introductory offer of Rs 15,000 per round trip.
The direct flight service will be available twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The Odisha Government has agreed to bear the costs of unsold tickets with total ticket costs estimated to be around Rs 120 crore per year.
While opening the sale of tickets last month, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had said the initiative would promote job opportunities for the youths of Odisha, open up tourism potential and provide a boost to IT and ITES sectors in the State.
