Nagpur: Former energy minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has blamed the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government for ‘mismanagement’ of coal supplies, which he alleges is a big reason for the current energy crisis.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Bawankule said, “It is the (state) government’s job to keep track of our coal consumption and stock. We have to coordinate daily with the Central government so that coal imports can be streamlined. For example, if we need to import then we would approach the Indonesian government. So for that, MVA should have sought permission from the Centre to clear the import capacity.”
