Residents of Handwara accused the authorities of neglecting the roads in the area subjecting the people to immense difficulties.
All the roads connecting scores of villages through various routes with Handwara town are in a shambles, the locals said.
They said the roads have developed potholes and deep ditches all across “with some so wide and deep as to cause damage to the vehicles running over.”
“The tall claims of the authorities on development of the roads fall flat in our village where the people suffer immensely for want of good roads,” said Rafiq Ahmad of Zachaldara.
