Lucknow: The Ayodhya airport was likely to be ready by December 15 and operations of flights would start before the proposed ‘pran pratishtha’ (consecration ceremony) of Ram Lala at the under-construction Ram Temple on January 22.
The Shri Ram International Airport, which would be built in two phases, would have an area of 50 thousand square feet and it would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Civil Aviation Minister Jytoraditya Scindia briefed the reporters about the the development in Ayodhya on Saturday.
