In a recent revelation, the government disclosed that domestic airlines in India reported a total of 406 instances of aircraft malfunctioning during the first 11 months of the current year.
Minister of State for Civil Aviation, VK Singh, provided this data in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha on Monday (December 11), shedding light on the technical challenges faced by airlines in maintaining the operational integrity of their fleets.
Airlines grapple with malfunctions
From January to November 2023, IndiGo topped the list with 233 reported instances of aircraft malfunctioning, followed by SpiceJet with 44 cases.
