MUMBAI: The Aviation Security Culture Week, organised by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) culminated on Saturday with a walkathon outside Mumbai airport as security officials created awareness among flyers on the does and don’ts to keep them safe during air travel. Among them, packing one’s own bags and not carrying gifts on behalf of others, are two aspects of air travel that begin way before a passenger has left for the airport. Some of the activities undertaken during the week were, setting up of information booths and kiosks in the forecourt area and terminal buildings, inflight announcements made to spread awareness, cards with information on security awareness, etc.
