NEW DELHI: Mumbai-Delhi is finally back as one of the world’s busiest domestic routes and Delhi is again on the list of the busiest airports globally this month, thanks to the smart recovery in India’s air traffic post the deadly second wave. UK-based air consultancy firm OAG data shows this month Delhi-Mumbai as the tenth busiest domestic globally in terms of seat capacity deployed by airlines at 4.8 lakh.
OAG data, in terms of seats deployed by airlines on both domestic and international flights, shows Delhi’s IGI Airport as the 10th busiest globally with 28.4 lakh seats this month — up to four spots from 14th rank in October 2019.
