India has recorded a historic moment in its march towards implementation of Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) and alternate taxing solutions, in the aviation sector.
With this, Indian is now the only country where Performance Evaluation Trials were successfully completed with TAXIBOT operations for AIRBUS A320 Family of Aircraft by a commercial airliner.
According to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), three airbus Operators were present with INDIGO Airlines being the first to complete the trials successfully. “The remaining two shall be doing the trials shortly,” DIAL said releasing official statement.
