On June 4, 2015, the coal ministry announced the auction of ten coal mines in the third tranche for iron & steel, cement and captive power plant sectors. The ministry has issued instructions to the nominated authority to conduct the auctions. The e-auctions for these mines will be held from August 11-17, 2015.
