Union ministry of Road transport and highways has proposed for development of inter-corridors between National Highway (NH)-15 – Trans Arunachal Highways (NH13 / NH 215) and Frontier Highways in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Six inter routes spread across 2178 km are proposed. In a office memorandum the ministry stated that presently there are two arterial routes/corridors (i) NH-15 which runs longitudinally along foothills bordering Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and (ii) NH-13 / NH 215 i.e. Trans Arunachal Highways which runs midway in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The NH-15 is already developed into a two lane paved shoulder. NH-13 / NH-215 (Trans Arunachal Highways) is under development for two laning.
