In good news for daily commuters, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 17-kilometer additional section of the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) corridor. According to officials from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), this extension from Duhai to Modi Nagar North will be launched by the Prime Minister on Wednesday.
A special Namo Bharat train will mark the commencement of operations on the new section, with Prime Minister Modi remotely flagging off the train from the Muradnagar RRTS station via video conference from Kolkata. The event will also witness the presence of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
