The entire country is talking about green electricity, but the power generation at Andaman & Nicobar Islands is mostly dependent upon diesel generators. At present, 90 per cent of the installed capacity and 94 per cent of the total generation is from Diesel Generators. The total installed capacity includes 98.52 MW DG power plants comprising of 178 DG sets.
