Amidst rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Jet Airways pilots have decided to call off a ‘Flight Safety Period’ and a black-band protest till further notice, according to the National Aviators Guild (NAG), the airline’s pilot body.
The NAG had planned a black-band strike from March 1 over salary delays for several months. “All are informed that the Flight Safety Period and the black band protest has been called off till further notice. We trust all will understand the reasons behind taking this decision and stand united,” it said.
A senior pilot and member of NAG said: “It is an important decision for the country and we hope that the pilots will support us in the same.
