HYDERABAD: The city’s first green hydrogen plant may likely come up at Asia’s biggest sewerage treatment plant (STP) at Amberpet.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has identified three acres on the premises of Amberpet STP to set up the green hydrogen plant with a 160-megawatt capacity .
Sources in the HMWSSB confirmed that the green hydrogen plant will be set up as a pilot project and modalities will be worked out. “HMWSSB officials will outline these modalities for MAUD minister KTR,” said a source.
