An Alliance Air ATR aircraft landed safely at Bhuj from Mumbai after a part of the engine cowling fell down during take-off on Wednesday morning. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated an inquiry to fix responsibilities for lapses. The cowling was recovered alongside the runway after the flight took off. The four-year-old aircraft had around 70 passengers on board.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning and was brought to the notice of airport authorities by a Mumbai Air Traffic Controller (ATC). Subsequently, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) started an investigation into the incident.
