After the announcement of the Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2022 by Union Power Minister RK Singh to be placed and passed in Parliament on Monday, All India Power Engineers Federation sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealing him to intervene effectively in this matter. So that this bill is not passed in the Parliament in haste and this bill should be referred to the Standing Committee on Electricity Affairs of Parliament for detailed discussion with all the stakeholders including electricity consumers and electricity employees.
