India’s youngest low fare carrier Akasa has purchased over 300 engines from CFM International to power the 150 Boeing aircraft it ordered earlier this month.
The deal for the Leap-1B engines is worth about $5 billion at list prices. Airlines usually negotiate volume discounts on planes and engines.
