Akasa Air, a 19-month airline in India’s aviation space, on Friday announced its international operations and is set to fly beyond India’s borders. The young airline joins the rank of bigger rivals IndiGo and Tata-owned Air India at a time when the sector in one of the fastest growing aviation markets has seen turbulence with Go First and Jet going bankrupt.
Beginning on March 28, 2024, Akasa Air will commence international operations, operating four non-stop flights weekly, linking Mumbai with Doha, the company said in a release. Flight reservations are currently available, with return fares starting at Rs 29,012.
