Ajay Kumar has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Chandigarh International Airport. He will replace Sunil Dutt who has been transferred to Pune Airport.
Besides, introducing electronic boarding pass, increased food outlets, new flights, Kumar had been able to achieve a new high with 10 million passengers’ footfalls at the airport. The installation of the instrument landing system ILS (CAT-III) which was the main hindrance behind the starting of the international flights from the airport will be a major challenge for Kumar. At present only one international flight to Sharjah operates while another flight to Dubai would start from next month.
