KOLKATA: The CISF, in coordination with airline officials, conducted a secondary ladder point checking (SLPC) on a passenger after she uttered the word, “bomb”, while standing in a queue at a boarding gate to catch a Bagdogra flight on Sunday afternoon.
The incident took place around 1pm when the woman, who was travelling with a child, was about to board a SpiceJet flight. Sources said she was frustrated with wait at the queues for multiple checks-the extra precaution is due to the heightened security measures ahead of Independence Day-and had casually mentioned whether the authorities suspected her of carrying a bomb.
