Taking advantage of the backlog of travellers due to the suspension of air traffic for Srinagar on the third consecutive day, airlines have resorted to making hay by increasing the airfare by three times.
The dense fog in Kashmir Valley affected the flight operations on Monday, leaving hundreds of people stranded in Jammu.
Like their past practices, the airlines have increased the airfare for Srinagar from Jammu by more than three times and helpless passengers have no other option but to buy the tickets at exorbitant rates.
