NEW DELHI: The issue of how to allocate the bilateral rights of grounded Jet AirwaysNSE -2.37 % has divided the airline industry, with the older carriers pitted against the more recent entrants.
While IndiGoNSE -1.80 %, GoAir and Spice-Jet had opposed the model adopted to award Jet’s international rights, based on an airline’s domestic capacity, Vistara commended the procedure.
“We would… like to highlight that the entire process was highly efficient, open and transparent,” Vistara CEO Leslie Thng said in a letter to the ministry, which ET reviewed.
