Kolkata: Several IndiGo Airlines flights arriving or departing Kolkata on Saturday afternoon and evening were delayed by 30 to 45 minutes after the airline’s server went on the blink for three hours. Sources said the problem was reported around 2pm. Engineers could finally fix it around 5pm. During this period, the airline processed passengers manually that led to flight delays. The ripple effect continued till later in the evening.
“It was a temporary glitch that was sorted out by the airline by early evening. During this period, some passengers were provided with handwritten boarding passes and flights were delayed,” said a Kolkata airport official.
