KOLKATA: IndiGo, the airline with the largest operation out of Kolkata is all set to return to pre-pandemic figures next month with the addition of frequencies on five sectors, both domestic and international.
With several other airlines including SpiceJet, Air India and Asaka Air also set to ramp up services, the flight count at Kolkata airport is expected to return to pre-Covid levels later this year.
The airline will add frequencies to Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Goa, Surat and Bangkok. “We used to operate 117 flights out of Kolkata before flights began to be shut down from February 2020 onwards due to the spread of the virus.
