BENGALURU: The high court has dismissed the petition filed by an engineer who allegedly uploaded defence secrets, especially source code pertaining to the design of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), on the dark web.
“Dark web is a sophisticated anonymous internet network used by both criminals and other individuals for manifold reasons. Regulating its usage has become the need of the hour, as it provides anonymity as the geo-location is hidden. Such usage of dark web for uploading defence secrets has a devastating effect on national security… Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the root of the data thieving and uploading it for illegal financial gains and bring to book persons involved in such acts,”
